This mimicking on the Upper Petals on the flower, can be anywhere from minimal (some partial streaking marks), to full blown duplication (where the upper petals resemble almost identically the labellum itself).
Petal peloric cymbidiums successfully mericlone for the mass propagation market, in the PAST, hybridizing with them on a large scale does not seem to pass their petal peloric characteristic onto their progeny. Having said that, at the 2018 Santa Barbara International Orchid Show, the Batchman family displayed several examples of Petal Peloric cymbidiums that Loren Batchman had succesfully hybridized in their Casa de Orquideas Display.
